Bill Spear founded The Spear Group in New England in 1966. In 1976 he expanded his company to South Florida where there was a growing need for new housing. His two sons, Jeff & David & his daughter Diane soon joined the family-owned business and helped it grow and flourish to become the highly esteemed company it is today. For over thirty years, The Spear Group has been building some of the most superb residences in South Florida from Miami-Dade to Broward and Palm Beach Counties.
The Spear Group’s president, Jeff Spear, holds the unprecedented honor of being twice named “Builder of the Year” by the Builders Association of South Florida. In 2006, he served as president of the Gold Coast Builders Association in Palm Beach County. A perfectionist by nature, Jeff is tirelessly committed to creating outstanding homes and delivering exceptional customer service. A graduate of Cornell University and a licensed Florida General Contractor, he is extremely active in promoting positive changes in the building industry locally and statewide.
Vice President David Spear is the chief financial officer for The Spear Group. He coordinates the administrative operations and all aspects of financing for the company. A licensed building contractor who joined the firm in 1977, David’s solid expertise in land acquisition, construction coordinating, cost estimating and planning has played an integral part in The Spear Group’s success.
Diane Spear Leonard directs the marketing and sales endeavors for the company. She is a licensed real estate broker and a licensed mortgage broker. She directs all market research and offers invaluable insights into product design. She has more than two decades of experience in the dynamic South Florida market.
